THE BUSINESS NEED
Skiptown needed a scalable, consistent approach to onboarding and developing frontline employees across its dog daycare and boarding operations. Training needed to equip employees with the knowledge and practical skills to safely manage dogs, recognize behavioral cues, follow operational procedures, and deliver a consistent standard of care.
MY APPROACH
Partnered with subject matter experts to translate complex animal behavior concepts and operational procedures into accessible, practical learning experiences. The approach emphasized short, mobile-friendly lessons, real-world scenarios, and opportunities to reinforce knowledge through hands-on application.
THE LEARNING SOLUTION
A structured frontline learning program combining bite-sized eLearning modules developed in Articulate Rise with practical skill development and on-the-job reinforcement. Learning topics span canine body language, safe handling, play group management, health and safety, enrichment, and daily operations.
The broader education plan incorporates supervisor-led checkpoints and hands-on assessments designed to reinforce learning and validate job readiness.
